1. Who this covers
This policy explains how Knife handles information when you visit Knife Baby, create an account, purchase access, use the desktop app, or contact support. Reach us through our support page for privacy questions or requests.
2. Information we handle
We process account details such as your name, email address, verification status, and connected Discord identifier. We keep order, subscription, invoice, licence, and support records needed to provide and administer your access. When you bind a PC, the server stores a keyed digest of the hardware ID rather than displaying the original ID in the dashboard. The desktop app sends its hardware ID for access checks.
We also handle security and technical information such as session identifiers, IP addresses in hosting or security logs, and basic device or browser information. If you submit a review or support message, we process the content you choose to provide. Optional analytics, when enabled, are used to understand service performance and usage.
When automatic desktop activation is enabled, the app asks you to approve first-PC registration in the browser. It sends a versioned hardware fingerprint and reported PC name, Windows version, edition, build, architecture, CPU, installed RAM, motherboard and system manufacturer/model, optional GPU, and app version. The server stores a keyed hardware digest and records sign-in results, connection IP and approximate country, region and city when available from the hosting provider. Raw hardware serials, precise GPS coordinates and the underlying fingerprint anchors are not required. Only your account and authorized administrators can inspect your device records. Hardware identification is a licensing control and is not tamper-proof device attestation.
Automatic device login events are retained for 90 days. Connection IP and location are cleared from devices inactive for 90 days, and inventory metadata is cleared from reset or revoked devices after 180 days. Minimal protected binding, reset and audit records remain for licensing and support. IP-derived location may be inaccurate or unavailable, especially with VPNs. You can review devices, sign out desktop sessions and request a hardware reset from your dashboard.
If you submit a review with images and confirm sharing, the review and selected images may be sent to the configured KNIFE Discord channel. The website does not include your email address or hardware identity in review notifications. Public display is subject to review moderation.
3. Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, connect Discord, manage purchases and licences, verify subscription and hardware access, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain the service, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Where law requires a particular legal basis, it may be performance of our agreement, legitimate operational interests, legal duties, or your consent for optional activities.
4. Payments and service providers
Payment providers process the payment method you choose. Knife Baby receives payment status and transaction details needed to reconcile an order; we do not need your full card number or private cryptocurrency wallet key. We use providers for hosting, database and authentication, payment processing, storage, and transactional email. They receive only information needed for their function, subject to their own terms and privacy notices. Discord also processes information when you authenticate or join its community.
5. Cookies and security
We use account and security cookies to keep you signed in and protect sessions. We use access controls, hashed tokens, and other safeguards, though no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords or payment secrets through support messages.
6. Retention and choices
We keep information while your account or licence needs it, and longer where necessary for security, disputes, accounting, or legal duties. You can update account details in the dashboard. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, or another applicable privacy right through our support page. Some records may need to be retained even after account closure.
7. International processing and children
Our service providers may process information in other countries. We do not intentionally offer the service to children below the minimum age permitted to use the service in their location. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The version posted here will show its latest revision date, and we will provide additional notice when required by law.
